Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to our present moment experience in a non-judgmental way. As we develop mindfulness, we can more easily respond skillfully to our experiences rather than react habitually.
Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Courses
In these courses, we will learn sitting, walking and other meditation practices to help us be more mindful in everyday life. When we do meditation, we can see more clearly our habits, and a way to free ourselves from that which doesn't serve us or the world. The format for each class will be instruction, meditation practice and time for Q & A. Home practices will be recommended.

Family & Youth Courses
These courses are designed specifically for students and families wishing to develop their Mindfulness Meditation toolkit. We will explore mindfulness practices for dealing with reactivity, focus, anxiety and stress.
3 Week Mindful Parenting Course
Expand your toolkit of how to keep calm in the midst of the storm of parenting. In this class, we will explore mindfulness practices to help us move from reactivity to skillful response. We will also explore practices for Mindful Speech, a way to communicate clearly and compassionately. Class will include short meditations, group discussion, and Q & A opportunities.

Ongoing Meditation Courses
In the ongoing courses, we further explore the practice of meditation and deepen our understanding of specific topics. Each arena of meditation can help lead to greater ease, happiness and freedom in our lives. These ongoing courses are designed for those who have either taken the Introduction to Meditation or Mindfulness Course or you have at least a year of meditation experience.
7 weeks - Seven Factors of Awakening
This course will explore each aspect of the Seven Factors of Awakening as a way of understanding the components of practice that lead to freedom. The Seven Factors are: Mindfulness, Investigation, Energy, Joy/Rapture, Tranquility, Concentration, and Equanimity. These factors can help deepen our meditation practice and guide us on our journey to freedom. Each week will include meditation practice, discussion, and Q & A periods.
