Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to our present moment experience in a non-judgmental way. As we develop mindfulness, we can more easily respond skillfully to our experiences rather than react habitually.
Introduction to Mindfulness Course
In these courses, we will learn sitting, walking and other meditation practices to help us be more mindful in everyday life. When we do meditation, we can see more clearly our habits, and a way to free ourselves from that which doesn't serve us or the world. The format for each class will be instruction, meditation practice and time for Q & A. Home practices will be recommended. All classes are by Suggested Donation (no one will be turned away due to inability to pay-please contact Denise for more information).
4-week LIVE Course: Wednesdays, August 30 - September 20, 5:15pm-6:45pm. Suggested Donation $55 - $85*.
6-week ONLINE Course: Wednesdays, October 4 - November 8, 12-1:15pm. Suggested Donation $65 - $95*.
Introduction to MIndful Parenting Course
In this course, you will develop the tools for healthier, happier families. Each week we will deepen our mindfulness, self-compassion and playfulness practices to create more ease and fun in our parenting. Each class will consist of mindfulness meditation practice, discussion and Q & A. Homework will be provided each week.

8th Grade Youth Course - 4-week Middle School Mindfulness
This course is designed specifically for 8th grade Middle School students wishing to develop their Mindfulness Meditation toolkit. We will continue exploring mindfulness practices to improve focus, calm, and confidence and to reduce reactivity, anxiety and stress. We will also explore practices for Mindful Speech, a way to communicate clearly and compassionately.
Thursdays, September 7 - 28th (4 classes) 4:15-5:15pm. Suggested Donation $25-$45*. Location: 248 D St., Salida (across 3rd St. from Post Office).
Ongoing Meditation Courses
These ongoing courses are designed for those who have either taken the Introduction to Meditation or Mindfulness Course or you have at least a year of meditation experience.
Exploring the Eightfold Path. This course will explore each aspect of the Eightfold Path as a way of deepening our understanding of what leads to freedom from suffering. Each week will include meditation practice, discussion, and Q & A periods.
